We popped here for a visit during our stay at Crowdecote campsite. It is about a 15 minute drive from the campsite and has plenty of parking available.
There is a nice indoor bar overlooking the brewery that is dog friendly (steps up to the bar so maybe not great for anyone with mobility issues) and also a lovely large beer garden with lovely views of the Buxton countryside. although on a bit of an industrial park you wouldn’t realise once in the bar or garden. The bar opens at 12pm and have a good selection of their own beers as well as plenty of bottles and cans of beers, cider and soft drinks.
Currently no brewery tours on offer, but the brewery is visible from the bar so you can take a good look.
Street food is available, usually pizzas or Bab Korean Food Trailer (check website for details) and the day we attended The cavendish kitchen wood fired pizzas
@thecavendishkitchen were on offer! Extremely good pizza and good value starting at £7 a pizza.
We sampled a few of the draft beers including the Cavern Helles lager with was really good, the Middle Tor which was a Indian Red Pale which was nice,
the Peak Urban which was a hazy pale ale but my favourite was the Pyrus, at 6.5% was strong but very flavoursome, so much that I have to have another!
Also brought a few to take away with our favourite being “The Beer” it is brewed to celebrate all things new, open minded and progressive. A peanut butter biscuit stout with no biscuits, butter or nuts, at 11% it was one we took back to camp and enjoyed around the fire, simply delicious!
A great brewery with friendly staff, dog and kid friendly, nice scenery and great beer and food. Well worth a visit
There is no official stop overs but there are a couple of campsites walkable, Staden Grange Campsite, only a 10 minute walk away and Lime Tree Park both around a 30 minute walk. So there are plenty of options meaning you can enjoy all Buxton Brewery Tap and Garden has to offer and make it back to camp safe and sound!
Cheers all!
